frustrating forkMay 14, 2010 E. Fuller(MA United States) Ok, so maybe there is some validity into the safety features of the fork. But honestly the blunted outer tines just make the fork frustrating for toddlers to use. My 15 month old just says "help me" and hands me the fork to stab food for her. And even my 3 year old had trouble with it.
On the plus sides. The handles are durable and seem to work well for both kids. The spoon is fine too.
Good grippy handles...August 13, 2010 EdenInLA(So. California) The spoon is very flat and doesn't hold soupy liquids or yogurt very well but is ok for the more sticky or mushy food. I like the idea of the rounded tines on the safety fork but the fork ends up being useless for most foods except for thick pasta pieces like rigatoni. The good grippy handles are probably the best part of this set. If you have a kid who is super picky about eating food to begin with this set might just be more of a barrier to eating.
fork is worthless. spoon too flat.March 27, 2010 Chicago mom I understand the fork isn't sharp for safety reasons, but it is absolutely worthless. The spoon is so flat that it barely holds anything either. If your baby has a steady enough hand to use the spoon, you can be assured that your baby is coordnated enough not to poke his/her eye out with a fully functioning fork.
